BCP Council

Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council wanted a hard-hitting campaign to encourage summer holiday-makers to respect the local environment…

Client: BCP Council
Agency: Make Studio

The Sort **it Out concept put the emphasis back on individuals to take responsibility and address their own behaviour. The obvious play on words softened the didactic tone and offered opportunities to address a range of issues in a similar style…

The campaign was rolled out on Twitter and Instagram and across the local area. It even received some celebrity endorsement…

Alongside the visual branding, the campaign called for some ‘shoutouts’ to be broadcast on the pier:

Hey! Nice six pack!
Just remember to take those empties home, yeah?
You know what they say:
“If you sleep on the beach, you’ll wake up with crabs”.
Pitch it somewhere else, pal!
Littering: the quick and easy way to let people know
you’re literally the worst.
Getting cold and dark? You could light an illegal, dangerous and environmentally damaging beach fire.
Or, you could just go to the pub.
